Our standard lying height at top of the mattress is 27” (68.5 cm). This height is ergonomically suitable for females of average height which is statistically considered to be between 5’ 3.8” to 5’ 6” in USA.

Beech Wood Durability
Beech wood is a “hard-wearing” wood. This generally means that items made of Beech can take a lot of pressure over time. The hard surfaces of beech wood products will resist gouging and chipping. Beech is a relatively non-porous wood with a very strong surface.
Shock Absorbent
Woodworkers will refer to beech wood as a “shock absorbing” wood. Generally, beech stands up to challenges such as bearing weight or receiving a high-impact force. This is the reason that beech wood is perfect for the Gertie Crib in a commercial environment.
